    Location

Being on a ground floor room, the constant stomping noice from the room above

The managers were very accommodating and helpful. The room was very warm, comfortable and quiet. It's proximity to town was great as we were able to walk to get what we needed. Great service and I would recommend this to others without hesitation.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to everything I needed. The room was well laid out with the bed shielded from the traffic noise of the main road.

I couldn't find how to alter the water pressure of the shower. Minor thing though.

Convenient location. Easy check-in, good clean facility.

Was a bit noisy at night.

Very tidy and clean, had everthing we needed. Chosen as it had two levels, not a high rise building ( we're from Christchurch)

We were in room 2 below the noisiest people above. Footsteps, creaking floor (from the footsteps) cupboards closing, one person had the longest piddle in the world and I got to hear the lady having a nightmare. If we we're to stay again it would be to stay on the top floor.

The location was convenient to the city and on bus routes making transportation relatively convenient.

Got offstreet close parking to sort luggage out before getting to ferry terminal to Picton. Bed comfortable.

Very thin walls, can hear other guests snoring from next door and above... No sink in the kitchenette, No table for dining or laptop work.. Even when asking for a non smoking unit and units are marked "no smoking" your unit is filled with smoke from the cleaners sitting in the carpark on their break, smoking. Due to prevailing winds it sweeps into the units. Don't expect a quiet morning or sleep-in, due to ferry timetables and early departure of some guests, cleaning starts at 7.00am. So with thin walls... Very unrestful....

I was catching an early morning flight and this place is about 5 mins from the airport in early morning traffic. Also close enough to walk into town for dinner. Plus the parking is great.

Right on the square so emergency vehicles going past all hours can be noisy if your not a heavy sleeper.

    The Location

One of the staff entered my room whilst I was in a friends room and turned off the tv,heater and lights, felt very violated, breached my privacy. For $170.00 a night I expect to keep my room warm. Returned back to the room and the power blew out, no lights. spoke to staff the next morning and they said I should have contacted them. That was nice.

I was attending the Wellington College reunion. The Motel was ideally located and the people I delt with there did a first class job

Its location was handy to the venue I was attending. And the reception staff were extremely accommodating and helpful.

Very close to the event venue I was down for. (Wellington College). Have stayed once before, when down for duration of cricket test at the Basin Reserve. Obviously location was the reason for choosing Marksman that time too! Only 'down' sides this time were the traffic noise (obviously unavoidable) and the balcony lighting which was easily visible through curtains...I couldn't find a way to turn off the one outside my room! Breakfast was good value for money.

It was reasonably convenient for the centre of town if you did not mind a short walk. Other places might be closer but they would cost far more. There was a fridge, microwave, kettle, cafetiere, crockery and cutlery, 1 double bed and 1 single. The room was en suite with tv and parking, which was important for a capital city. It was in a noisy traffic location but we were not disturbed by this.

It was great having car parking right outside your room. Close to town was good as we could walk. Handy having mirowave toaster etc so dont have to worry about eating out all the time. Friendly staff.

Location is very convenient -- quick drive to downtown restaurants.

Parking lot is a bit of a challenge to maneuver your car into and out of.
